Apply for a plot

We manage a waiting list for the allocation of allotments to residents within the parish of Ely, which includes Queen Adelaide, Prickwillow, Chettisham and Stuntney. Residents of adjoining areas outside the Ely parish e.g. Littleport, Soham, Little Thetford or Witchford should contact their local allotment association or parish council to apply for a plot in their locality. Please note we have no information yet as to when allotments will be available on the new North Ely developments although a waiting list has been opened. We do not manage the Deacons Lane site (situated between Deacons Lane and New Barns Avenue).

Before making an application please download and read the Allotment Tenancy Agreement which applies to all plot holders. You will be asked to sign this when you take over a plot. We would also urge you to carefully consider the time involved in maintaining a plot – unfortunately too many new plotholders find it to be a bigger commitment than expected and give up in disappointment, particularly when juggling the demands of family life against relentless weeds.

To join the waiting list please fill out and submit the form below. We will then contact you by email to confirm your place on the list. As at June 2022 there are no vacant plots on any site. Waiting times for the smaller urban sites are at least two years or significantly more, plots on the larger Bridge Fen site are usually available within twelve months or less.
